So, my wife and I decided to try out Blu e-cigarettes. The idea is intriguing, as it allows you to "smoke" (actually vaporize) nicotine. The battery is shaped like a traditional cigarette but is slightly shorter. An atomizer screws into the battery and you push a nicotine cartridge over the atomizer. The end result is a small vaporizer loaded with nicotine that you can puff on to get your fix.
We waited a long time to receive our Blu starter kit due to "unprecedented demand." When we finally got them, we charged the batteries and tested them out. Overall, we were satisfied with the product (at first) and were surprised at how well it seemed to work.
However, it soon became apparent that there is a problem with our batteries. The product documentation states that the batteries should last through approximately two cartridges. My battery seems to need charging about every 3-4 hours and my wife's battery seems to need charging about every 4 hours, as well. This is FAR less time than it takes to go through 2 cartridges and when the batteries are not charged, the vaporizer does not work very well. Blu is supposed to be sending replacement batteries to us "by the end of the week."
We hope the new batteries eliminate our only problem with these e-cigarettes as we are very excited about the possibility of eliminating regular cigarettes from our lives.
